Ill keep it simple, I think polytoria should host a summer tournament during august where people can form teams and take part in a huge pvp tournament with a bracket and everything.
Or if its already too late for this, another edition could be hosted during winter

i think they mean something like the (european) football world cup, where instead of having 2 teams like in the great divide, there would be tens of teams that would be put in a bracket and would face eachother in an eliminatory round where the loser would be disqualified

There will not be many PVP events this year, these are the event types as Jane said on Discord:

"the next event is playable alone with teamwork elements"
"halloween is vaguely pvp with playable alone elements"
"thanksgiving is entirely singleplayer"
"christmas is team based pve"
"team based as in everyone is on one team"
