more importantly, why aren't the teams red and blue instead of blue and green?

I don't think most pt players understand the halo concept of red vs blue. So they simplified it for the playerbase?

or they chose those specific colors because of the names of the teams


cobras and snakes in general are green
phantoms/ghosts are often depicted as being blue
