dude they have been doing it, i can even remember doing that when i first joined.
it sucks and it makes them seem greedy. and the weird *** ads do not help them in that aspect.

For about a year I pretty much uploaded all the hats on polytoria, and 90% of those were low stock, extremely cheap and the effects of it were horrible on the site. An economy practically didn't exist just because these items were so rare that all owners would become inactive; everything just became fast profits, and nobody was able to afford any items soon after release due to major price gouging from the practical monopoly people had on these small stock items. It's never been a good idea and (somewhat) has become the major issue the economy reset is trying to fix.

wdym? they aren't hoping to avoid the economy reset. if they were they wouldn't do it all together. churning out new limiteds helps the community stay awake and active, at least for a time.
