For context in regards to the source of the image, I remember finding it when searching for images of the heart nebula, specifically with licensing options either set to creative commons, public domain, or free to use and edit. I've just tried searching for the source again, but it seems fairly hard, with many copies and edits of it, the original source seems to probably be unknown.
