I don't have enough items to test this out but is it one of each category or can you layer some categories and not others?

You can't layer an item from the head category with an item from the hat category

and im guessing you have a limit of one item from each category? or thats only with hat items? im trying to design an avatar to save up for so i wanna know what im limited to using

Yes, you can only wear 1 of each item in the "Accessories" section except for the "Head" category.

What outfit are you looking to make?

Nah, only one.

If u decide to wear an item from the head category, you can wear one of everything else except for an item in the "Hat" category and vice verse. Even if you could wear an item of both category it probably wouldn't look good anyway.
