Three days ago my thread was deleted for an unknown reason.

I then made a thread inquiring on the basis of my thread's deletion. That was deleted too.

Recently, vershioned's 120 response thread was locked for no apparent reason.

These are just a few examples of recent moderations. Recently, forum moderation has been the worst it's ever been. Why has Polytoria become so soft and why has it been discouraging users to be active?

Watch this thread get moderated.

If this is true, then that's something that irritates me because don't we all want this website to strive and be active? Why would the website's own moderators want it to not be? That doesn't make sense.

I cannot explain it. Again, this site is ran by mostly 16 year olds who deal mostly based on their emotions.

its kidna unfortunate though, while im over here gaining posts, i never expect to gain so much replies from an post, i must say its impressive indeed, but it always come to an end

and im fairly neutral on the moderation, as( i think?) they have a rule based on how much replies are on a forum post

Can't speak on your threads as I didn't see them, but I genuinely have no clue why vershion's thread got deleted. It seems like the mods hate fun or something.

Maybe there's some kind of mechanism that automatically locks a thread if it reaches a certain number of posts to prevent someone making a bot to postfarm? That would be stupid but I can't think of any reason an actual human would lock it

I might have a few answers to your questions.

About your moderated thread on a previous moderated tread, a rule states that you should not post about your moderation. It seems to apply mostly for account warnings/bans/terminations, however I believe also forum posts/threads fall under the same category.

Vershion's 100+ replies thread was probably taken down because it became too big or for postfarming reasons. For example, BH would sometimes do the same and lock them.

This is all speculation - I have no clear answer.

If you haven't done it yet, contact a moderator about this. What you are currently doing is complaining on the forums and might not get you anywhere.

We routinely remove threads from the general topic that are deemed to be lacking in quality for the standards of quality conversation that we expect to see on the forums.

vershioned's was locked for obvious reasons - it was clearly just made for postfarming.

im not sure why your thread was deleted (after all, i dont even know what it was about), but it probably also has a fair reason for it. i think it would be helpful if staff sent you a message telling you why the thread was deleted
