I've noticed whenever I'm not online the forums always die out. I can scroll to the bottom of Off Topic and there are threads that were last active one day ago still there. It's even worse here on Polytoria General. I know people in the replies of this post are going to say "just use the Discord" or "sToP cOmPlAiNiNg tHe nEw pOlYtOrIa iS fInE!!!1". Please don't do that. There's tons of flaws with the new website. Polytoria was absolutely a masterpiece before the new website. Even the forums back then seemed to be more active, and this website seemed to have better potential then. Another thing is I do not see Discord being a viable replacement for the forums, at this point it just seems like no one actually truly cares about the actual website and instead only cares about the Discord server, which I'll admit is kind of irritating.

I'm just going to get hate for this but I don't care if you throw a temper tantrum like a 5 year old over someone else's opposing opinion then that's ridiculous

Polytoria was 100% not a "masterpiece" before the new site.
You, as a user who wasn't ever present for it, shouldn't be able to say that with 100% certainty.

Yes, the new website has problems (which i hope they fix) but the old one had LOTS of problems too

Point is, don't be blinded by a nostalgia which you were never present for.

no, polytoria was not a masterpiece, and never has been. also, i don't think the website change affected the activity of users at all. as far as i remember, the forums were as active as they are now before the new website's release. yeah, the new website is flawed, but the old website wasn't perfect either.

also you made your account on january 2024, you didn't even have an account on polytoria when the new website released.
