Instead of recent posts, have posts that were just replied to appear. This bump system would help the forum. Also, let us see our post history.

Alternatively, make it so that posts get bumped when replied to. This way you could keep recent posts but also not have replies ignored. And if someone quotes you, you should be notified of this through some sort of notification. This sort of system is very common and popular on messageboards and it is for a reason, it works.
