When an item goes offsale, remove the amount of currency it cost from under it's shop icon and replace it with "Offsale" or something, and do the same thing on the items actual page.

A simple suggestion that I'm a little surprised hasn't been been done yet.

perfect suggestion! I click on an item that says "free" only to find out it's sold out, or some weird limited that isn't sold for anything anymore. It can be quite annoying
