Suggestions for Polytoria's future.
Having been on other sites similar to Polytoria for years, I thought I'd offer 7 suggestions for the devs. This took hours of thought put into it.
Limit Comments / Forum Posts / Messages.
One comment / post / message (c / p / m) every 2 to 5 minutes to improve quality of c / p / m. Not only does this reduce spam / post farming, but it also may help with bots.Economy / Inflation.
Currency farming is and will always be a problem on any site that awards login bonuses or free currency. Possible solutions:
a. remove 'Currency Exchange' to avoid inflation of main/paid currency (encourages users to buy membership and/or currency);
b. remove the ability to buy items for second, third, etc. accounts on the same IP (could also be used for botted likes);
c. remove the ability to sell for non paying accounts.Moderation.
As a new user, I'm not super familiar with the moderation, so I'm not bashing or praising. Just stating that customer service is EXTREMELY important.Limited Items.
Deleted copies of limited items should either be auctioned off to the top bidder (Buy Requests), or given away in a raffle. This helps keep the more rare items in circulation.Continue Egg Hunts / Gift Hunts / General Events.
Since joining a certain BLOX site (sorry, I had to mention it once) in 2009, I have the fondest memories of events/holidays with friends over many years. Please keep these going!Hat Retextures
Users are creative; let them re-texture hats! Hand picked by staff and then officially uploaded (only a small percentage).Player-Made Achievements.
Allowing users to make achievements for their games attracts new players to not only their games, but to this platform. While I don't know Polytoria's economy well enough, I would suggest making each achievement cost $ to create. This helps balance the economy, removing currency that could be used to hasten inflation. I also noticed there are Leaderboards. It would make it even more enjoyable since some people are competitive and would want to get as many as possible, therefore giving the devs more currency purchases, keeping the site going.
#7 is the best suggestion in my opinion, and I'll gladly offer my ideas and any form of help I can. I know of roughly 1K users on another site that would REALLY enjoy this, which would further push Polytoria ahead. And I'm sure some of those would enjoy the limited item features. Devs, please PM me if this sounds interesting. I've tried PMs before, to no avail. Thanks for your time. Have a great day!

bro these are such good ideas omg
An actual thread, wow, that's surprising. Here, I'll give you a bump alongside some constructive criticism.
1 ~ Having a timer on thread creation is a great idea that'd greatly negate postfarming, however, one could simply remove the post counter entirely and have it privatized so the social incentive of postfarming becomes nonexistent. As I said prior, having a timer on thread creation is a good idea, but having one over 15-30 seconds for replies isn't.
2 ~ These suggestions favor only those who possess money and removing the exchange feature would make studs almost worthless, as most limited are sold for bricks and not studs making it nearly impossible for free users to acquire even the smallest of limited. Instead, I suggest that there be a limit on the amount you are allowed to convert daily depending on your account status (free, owner of membership, etc)
3 ~ ye ur right ngl
4 ~ Great idea and by deleted copies, I hope you mean copies that permabanned accounts possess
5 ~ 👍
6 ~ Should be a contest to get the whole community involved, in which users could vote on which creations they'd like to see in game to have even the non-modeler community involved
7 ~ 👍
wasted nearly 10 min on this hope u appreciate
Watermelon is good for you.
a time limit for comments may not be ideal, this is due to comments for games, items, and a few other things barely ever get comments and i dont think people like the concept of a limit for how long you can post a comment about something, everything else i understand, also, we already got a limit for forums, im just not sure how long it is.
