Basically I used the idea of mimic items like mimic hats and chests, and made an entire idea a creature of that same name.

The Mimic, also known as the Mimus Mockery, is a species that lives in hives underground.

Description: Original form is a pitch-black, mutated human-like creature with one red eye and a giant fang filled mouth on their stomach or under their eye. After eating different creatures, looks could vary from blobs with wings, eyes, and arms to a other less common results.

Instinct and Activities: Mimics love to disguise as objects and creatures to eat things. What they eat affects how they look. One could eat a bat and grow a giant mutated bat wing. They form hives in caves and have no sense of remorse or mercy in their instincts.

Types: Every hive has at least 100 Warrior Mimics, which wear armor and carry many swords. Every 500 hives has a White Mimic, which is white with a blue eye and are the only type of mimics that are mostly peaceful. They usually grow about 10-50 giant white bird wings that they use to fly and protect themselves. Every hive has a King Mimic, who lead the hives. Every 1,000 hives has a Red Mimic, which are red with a black eye. They are extra violent, and will even kill other mimics, which is not common in normal mimics. They usually carry big, black iron sword and have 2 crow wings. Lone Mimics do not live in hives and do not eat creatures, but instead plants and normal food, much like the White Mimic.
